While most dishes are well-regarded, some patrons mention the deep-fried oysters occasionally lacking in crunch, with specifics varying by the batch. A few reviews noted that the clam chowder could be a tad too peppery for some tastes, indicating inconsistency in flavor that might not please everyone. The oyster shooters received mixed feedback as well, with some finding the sauce unexpected rather than favorable. Though the overall experience tends to be positive, these minor critiques highlight the room for improvement, particularly in consistency across dishes and flavors.
Went here on a whim this Saturday afternoon. Had a hankering to head up to the TJMaxx in Burlington from Lynnwood. Figured we needed a good destination and The Oyster Shuckers did not disappoint. The raw on a half shell and the garlic grilled oysters were phenomenal. The shooters were alright though the sauce was different than I was ready for. The deep fried oysters were less than stellar, but that could’ve just been our batch. Still, they had a decent crunch and the tartar sauce complimented them. The chowder was decent but nothing I’d go out of my way for. The asada tacos were damn good. If I had more room I’d have eaten a dozen of them. There’s plenty more on the menu to try and I am looking forward to the next trip up here. Plus, they have beer! Cheers!
I finally had a chance to eat here and I was NOT disappointed. The shrimp and steak po boy tasted like I spent the day at the beach. Every bite brought me back to childhood...like I was a kid that was at the beach all day and worked up an appetite for delicious seafood. The shrimp was plump. The bread fresh and toasted to perfection. Excellent protein to sauce ratios. Outdoor seating was great with extra shade. Outdoor s was dog friendly as well. They do have a few local breweries beers in bottles available. I'll be back for sure.
What a lovely surprise to come across this eatery during a long bike ride. We had oyster tacos and MAN were they good. Crisp, freshly fried oysters. And the veg on top had the perfect crunch and was the perfect cut to accompany the oyster. Expertly prepared food. If I lived next door I’d prob never feel a need to cook and just come here every day.
Family and I ate there for late lunch. We had clam chowder, oyster shooters garlic grill oysters, surf and turf fries , and some asada and shrimp tacos. Everything was delightful! Ms Claudia was super nice! The chowder is just too peppery in my opinion but still good. The oysters were perfect. The place was clean! I love that.
Wow! Incredible fresh, plump oysters! Make sure you try to garlic butter ones! Tacos were yummy too!! So worth the stop!
Don't let the ambiance of this location fool you... This place is the best! After 7 oyster shooters (of each type), an order (6) fish point oysters, and an order of the Sammish (6) select oysters, and finished with 2 Pacifico beers.... Why take the additional hour drive around to go to Taylor shellfish. Don't get me wrong. I love Taylor's but FML. This was so good, and I spent half what I usually pay... I'm sold as a new regular.
3 seafood taco combo. We got one of each so fish, oyster and shrimp. Wanted to also try the steak taco and steak Quesadilla. And top it off, a Samish Gold Oyster shooter.
Don't miss the oyster tacos and the seafood combo. Both highlight the fresh local flavors and are perfect for a satisfying meal.
